Thanks to their compact design, variable backset dimensions and reversible latch, they are ideally suited for installation in single- and double-leaf tubular frame doors made of aluminium or steel - both in new builds and for retrofitting.
Automatic self-locking ensures a secured state after every door closing, while motor-driven unlocking enables convenient and controlled door opening via an access control system. The locks have been tested to DIN 18251 and, depending on the version, are suitable for escape and rescue routes in accordance with EN 179 or EN 1125.
In combination with monitoring contacts, profile cylinders and electronic control components, BKS motor locks offer a high-performance solution for administrative, commercial and security areas with elevated requirements.

Standards and safety requirements
Motor locks for tubular frame doors meet the highest safety standards and are certified according to DIN EN 12209 depending on the version. Variants with panic function also comply with the European standards DIN EN 179 (emergency exits) and DIN EN 1125 (panic doors). Many models are also suitable for use in burglar-resistant doors according to DIN EN 1627–1630. The safety profile is rounded off by fire and smoke protection approvals as well as CE marking for the European market.
