Safety for Our Youngest
Every day, millions of parents entrust their children to the care of a kindergarten or daycare center. This makes the feeling of security all the more important - for both the parents and the caregivers. BKS has developed special solutions that make it possible to control access to the kindergarten, reliably secure authorized access and prevent children from leaving the premises unsupervised.
Safe, child-friendly escape door solutions for daycare centers
In daycare centers, escape routes must function reliably at all times while also being protected against unintentional use by children. This often presents a real challenge. There is plenty of activity in the morning, and parents, tradespeople or other visitors arrive throughout the day. At the same time, it goes without saying that access to the building must be restricted to authorised persons.
Of course, the entrance door also serves as an escape door: in an emergency, it must be quick and easy to open, but in everyday use it must not allow children to leave the building unsupervised. The right door technology provides a reliable solution to this combination of safety, accessibility and control – and BKS offers the right solution for this purpose.

Electrically locked panic lock EVP –
self-locking multipoint locking system
The electrically locked panic lock EVP is a combined solution comprising a self-locking panic lock and an electric emergency exit door locking system. It enables the controlled electrical locking of emergency exit and panic doors while allowing unrestricted mechanical operation of the panic function. It is particularly suitable for doors that require secure locking during normal operation and a reliable escape route in the event of danger.
Operating principle
Locking is performed by means of three automatically extending latch bolts. Once the door is closed, they lock automatically, so manual locking is not required. The door is therefore mechanically secured immediately after closing.
The mechanical locking function remains active even in the event of a power failure. The three automatically locking latch bolts thus ensure a high level of burglary resistance and operational reliability, regardless of electrical control.
The emergency exit function is maintained via the suitable operating element. In an emergency, the door can be opened as intended using the panic operation without the need for separate manual unlocking.
Design features
The electric emergency exit door locking system is positioned centrally in the door. This central arrangement enables the locking system to be integrated compactly into the door area.
The required wiring is routed exclusively inside the door frame. This eliminates the need for additional milling outside the actual lock area. It simplifies installation and reduces the machining effort required on the door leaf and frame.
The compact system design reduces the number of individual components and creates a clear, space-saving and visually appealing appearance.
Technical advantages
- Self-locking multipoint locking system with three latch bolts
- Electric emergency exit door locking system integrated into the lock solution
- Mechanical locking remains effective even in the event of a power failure
- No manual locking of the door required
- Central positioning of the emergency exit door locking system
- Wiring exclusively inside the door frame
- No additional milling outside the lock area required
- Reduced number of components due to compact design
- For use in emergency exit and panic door systems
MFV SECURY 19 – elevated escape door function
The SECURY 194x panic locks feature two lock cases. Both lever handles operate the panic lock independently of one another: The upper lever handle is positioned at a height of 1,600 mm and can be operated by adults at any time without obstruction. The lower lever handle is positioned at 1,050 mm and is secured by a door guard.
If the lower lever handle is operated by a child in an emergency, the door opens and an alarm is triggered simultaneously. This solution thus enables rapid escape in an emergency while also supporting supervision and safety in everyday kindergarten life.
Features
- Protection against inadvertent operation: panic release at a lever handle height of 1,600 mm
- No free-running cylinder required
- Optional with A-opener: for automatic remote unlocking
- Panic function: changeover function E, switching function B
- Door types: single-leaf or double-leaf
Solution 2
- SECURY 194x multipoint locking system
- Strike plate B-9000 / 6-xxxx
- optional: A-opener
- optional: magnetic contact
- door closer OTS 73x
