Our mortise locks for tubular frame doors are specially developed for the requirements of narrow door profiles made of aluminium or plastic. Thanks to their compact design, small backset dimensions and reversible latch, they are ideal for installation in single and double-leaf tubular frame doors – both in new buildings and for retrofitting.
With robust mechanics, tested quality according to DIN 18251 and series such as Series 13 and 18, BKS mortise locks offer reliable protection for doors with high traffic. The locks can be combined with profile cylinders and fittings; a free-running cylinder is not required.
Optionally equipped with roller or strike plate protection latch and panic functions, they meet safety requirements according to EN 179 and EN 1125 and are ideally suited for use in commercial, residential and administrative buildings.

Standards and safety requirements
Mortise locks meet the highest safety standards and are certified according to DIN EN 12209 for mechanical locks. Versions with panic function additionally comply with the European standards DIN EN 179 (emergency exits) and DIN EN 1125 (panic doors). VdS approval confirms their suitability for burglar-resistant doors according to DIN EN 1627–1630. In addition, numerous models offer fire and smoke protection suitability as well as CE marking for use in the European market.
