Thanks to their standardized dimensions according to DIN 18251, robust mechanics, and versatile application options, they are ideal for apartment, project, and fire protection doors.

With durable quality and a wide range of variants, our mortise locks – e.g. from Series 23 – offer a reliable solution for high-traffic areas. The locks are prepared for use with standard profile cylinders and fittings; a free-running cylinder is not required.

Optionally equipped with monitoring contacts, silent latch or panic functions, they meet the requirements for emergency exit and escape doors in accordance with EN 179 and EN 1125 – ideal for use in public and commercial areas.

Standards and safety requirements

Mortise locks for timber and steel doors meet the highest safety standards in accordance with DIN EN 12209 and DIN 18251. Versions with panic function also comply with the European standards DIN EN 179 (emergency exits) and DIN EN 1125 (panic doors). VdS-certified variants are approved for use in burglar-resistant doors according to DIN EN 1627–1630. Many models also feature fire and smoke protection suitability as well as CE marking for the European market.
