On 29.01.2026, BKS GmbH hosted an event at the premises of the DesignWerkschau | Architektur Hub in Munich. For BKS, this also marked the launch of the new showroom at the DesignWerkschau. The premises offer a permanent and freely accessible opportunity in the Munich area for interested parties, architects, planners, and building owners to experience BKS products and solutions. In addition to consulting, the focus is also on using the space as an event venue. With its first event, the Life-Saving Design themed exhibition, BKS made a convincing first step.
Security starts in the details – and in dialogue. This is exactly the space for exchange that the BKS kick-off event provided. Numerous participants from architecture and planning took the opportunity to engage in practical discussions on key issues relating to escape route technology, fire protection, and planning reliability. The atmosphere was characterized by openness, professionalism, and genuine interest.
Particular attention was given to the expert presentations by Jörg Marks and Thorsten Warsow on the topics of the BER fire protection concept and Doors in the field of conflicting requirements. Here, complex content was conveyed clearly, vividly, and with practical relevance – spanning the arc from normative requirements to concrete implementation.
The subsequent exchange clearly demonstrated how important direct dialogue between planning, execution, and technology is. During the intensive get-together, experiences were shared, questions explored in depth, and new perspectives opened up.
𝗔 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗱: Good solutions arise where expertise, practice, and exchange come together.
Many thanks to all guests and contributors for the open dialogue and great interest.
